Terms of Service

By accessing or using MetaLife at metalife-app.com (“the Service”), operated by AdaptiveMind OÜ (Estonia), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

01Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MetaLife, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

02Service Description

MetaLife is a personal growth platform that provides journaling, mood tracking, habit tracking, goal management, and AI-powered coaching features. The Service allows you to log life entries via the web application, Telegram bot, or API, and receive AI-generated insights and coaching through Jarvis, our AI assistant.

03Account Registration

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. Google OAuth sign-in is available as an alternative.

You must be at least 16 years old to use MetaLife.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.

You must not share your account or allow others to access it.

✓

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

04Subscription Terms

Trial tier

New accounts receive a 30-day trial with full Pro access. After the trial ends without a subscription, accounts enter read-only mode (view + export only) until upgraded.

Pro tier

A paid subscription that unlocks higher limits, advanced AI coaching, and premium features.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service.

Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at [email protected] for refund requests.

05Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

Upload content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.

Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users’ accounts or data.

Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service (except through our official Telegram bot integration and API).

Abuse AI features by submitting excessive, automated, or adversarial requests designed to exploit the system.

Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.

06AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

MetaLife uses artificial intelligence to classify entries, generate insights, and provide coaching through Jarvis. AI-generated content is provided for informational and personal reflection purposes only.

AI outputs are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. MetaLife is not a healthcare provider. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services in your area.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. You should exercise your own judgment when acting on AI suggestions.

07User Data Ownership

You own your data. All journal entries, habits, goals, and other content you create belong to you.

You can export your data at any time using the built-in export feature.
By using the Service, you grant MetaLife a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service (including AI classification and coaching).
We will never sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising purposes.

08Intellectual Property

The MetaLife name, logo, branding, website design, and underlying source code are the intellectual property of AdaptiveMind OÜ. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our intellectual property without prior written consent.

09Account Termination

By you

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your data enters a 30-day soft-delete period before permanent removal.

By us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or if required by law. We will notify you via email except in cases of severe or illegal violations.

10Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MetaLife shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MetaLife, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

12Modification of Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before the updated terms take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Harju County, Estonia.

14Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
